Your One Stop Resource to Gold Making Strategies in the World of Warcraft

Tailoring: Ebonweave, Spellweave, and Moonshroud

Posted on March 1st, 2009 by admin

These three cloths are crafted items in the World of Warcraft with cooldowns of around 3 days and 20 hours. You need various items to craft these cloths and have to travel around Northrend to craft them, but if your market has a demand for them and they should, then you should put this into your routine as a tailor!

Take Advantage of Your Cooldowns!
As a tailor, once you hit 420 skill level, you should learn all three types of cloths. Once you do this you should make an effort to use your cooldowns when they are up to take full advantage of making money with these cloths even if you aren’t using them to craft an item. You can always sell them on the Auction House or trade them with someone that has the cloth that you need.

Sell Your Cooldowns!
Sometimes, people are willing to buy a cooldown from you since they need the cloth. Take this to your advantage and charge a fair fee for your time. If you are doing this, make sure you are making more than you would compared to preparing your own materials and selling it on the Auction House, since you still have to travel to far places within Northrend to craft the cloths. Tell the potential buyer this and don’t sell it if they don’t agree.

Specializing Gives you Two Cloths!
As with the World of Warcraft, the Burning Crusade, if you specialize in one of the tailoring arms you will get two cloths of that specialization. Shadowcloth Tailoring is linked to Ebonweave. Spellcloth specialization will give you 2 x Spellweave and Mooncloth specialization will give you 2 x Moonshroud. You can learn the specializations in either Shattrath (Lower City) or at Dalaran’s Tailoring trainers.

Materials needed for each cloth:
Ebonweave Bolt of Imbued Frostweave x 1 and Eternal Shadow x 2
Spellweave Bolt of Imbued Frost weave x 1 and Eternal Fire x 2
Moonshroud Bolt of Imbued Frostweave x 1 and Eternal Life x 2

Profiting From All Cloths!
Just because you specialize in one type of cloth, doesn’t mean the other ones won’t make you money. Keep a cloth eye on how much all of the cloths are selling for on the Auction House. At the same time, keep an eye on the materials for each type of cloth. This way you can determine if it is worth traveling across Northrend to make the cloth.

Profit from the Auction House!
If you find that some cloths are being put on the auction house for a ridiculously low price buy them! Wait for a while or send them to an auction house alt and put them on the auction house for what you feel is a proper price. This way you can profit from the buy and sell, and make sure the prices of each cloth don’t get deflated too much!
