Every profession has their ways of making gold and as long as you are willing to give it your best shot, you can make a lot of gold from any profession! Zapthrottle Mote Extractor
Just like in the Burning Crusasde, in the new expansion, the Wrath of the Lich King, you can use the Zapthrottle Mote Extractor to extract motes in Outland and Crystallized pieces in Northrend. You can get crystallized pieces from clouds that are scattered all over Northrend. There are 3 different clouds that you can extract from:
Steam Clouds – Crystallized fire and water
Cinder Clouds – Crystallized fire
Arctic Clouds – Crystallized Air and Water
The materials to build the Zapthrottle Mote Extractor are:

Where to farm in Northrend
From what I have seen and heard it looks like Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, and Sholazar Basin are the best places to farm the clouds. If you have a gathering profession you can search for nodes or herbs as you look for these clouds. Try and find the best route for yourself as you look for these clouds while looking for your materials for your gathering profession.
