Your One Stop Resource to Gold Making Strategies in the World of Warcraft

The Auction House as I’ve said before is a gold mine for making gold in the World of Warcraft. If you pay enough attention and have created a spreadsheet of information that you find on the auction house, then you will know what the market prices are for a bunch of items. If you haven’t already, I suggest that you write out a bunch of items on a piece of paper or use an Excel spreadsheet (I suggest the latter) and keep track of those items on the auction house over the course of the next few days.

Market Prices
Once you know how much the market price is for an item, then you’re ready to take the next step. I have previously talked about buying those items at a low price when they are abundant on the auction house and selling them at a higher price when they aren’t. (Read “How to Make Tons of WoW Gold Watchng the Auction House!”) You can actually take this one step further and look at those same items that are sold in multiples or in stacks.

Exploit the Laziness of Other Players!
A lot of players in the World of Warcraft are very lazy, and this leads to players putting up auctions for prices that just aren’t making any sense. You could see 1 Eternal Fire going for 40 gold and then see 5 Eternal Fires going for 100 gold. Now if my math is correct that means the Eternal Fires are 20 gold a piece and if you sell all 5 at 40, then you’ve just made a 100 gold off of a 100 gold investment!

Luck, Patience & Knowing the Market Price
Now there are three things that come into play here, you have to be lucky sometimes to find such auctions and they do happen all the time, I’ve found so many and resold them that same day or sent them to an auction house alt to put them on the auction house right away.

You also need to have patience to be looking through the auction house for different items and to doing the math every time you see a stack that you might think is underpriced.

And finally, you need to know the market price of the items that you are looking to buy and sell. That’s probably the most important part of anything you do in this game if you want to make money on the auction house, knowing the market prices of everything!

Create a List!
Let me help you start your list. There are items that are in demand and can find a lot of them on the auction house or being sold on the trade channel at all times. Items such as Frozen Orbs, Dragon’s Eye, every Eternal, Crystals, Jewelcrafting gems and all the different types of materials. You can literally make a list of a hundred items if you have the time and patience to go through this. You could easily make hundreds of gold a day from just doing this for a few items!

Make sure when you are buying and selling that you are looking for decent profit margins. You don’t want to be doing something that could potentially cause you to lose money. And always take into consideration the auction house cut which is a fair chunk. When you’re starting out, think about making at least 50% of your investment and lower this, as you get more comfortable. This means buying something for 50 gold and being able to sell it for 75 gold (a 50% increase). Lowering it seems risky but that means you will also more chances to come out with a profit! Good luck and thanks for reading again!
