In the number of ways I have introduced in making gold in the World of Warcraft, this one might be the most unique yet. With the release of achievements in the World of Warcraft, you will see a lot of items that were dead stock before that now have a pretty price on the auction house and mini-pets are one of those items. You can take advantage of this!
Know Where to Go to Buy Mini Pets
There are some limited supply and mini pets that are drops, these sell for ridiculous amounts of gold and I will save those for a later post. For now, make sure you know where to go to buy mini pets. If you’re part or the alliance the cat lady just outside of Stormwind sells several cat mini pets, it surprises me how lazy some people are. They can’t be bothered to just ride out of Stormwind for about a minute and buy these cats and save some gold, they just buy it in the Auction House. Well their loss, your gain really.
A great place that I found for both factions is Stormspire in Netherstorm of Outland. This Consortium hideout has a vendor that sells some great mini pets that sell VERY well on the Auction House and because it’s out in the middle of nowhere, especially now with the release of the Lich King, it might worthwhile to go out there for fun and pick up a bunch of these mini pets to make some extra gold.
Selling on the Neutral Auction House
Some mini pets can only be obtained by the Alliance and the same goes for the Horde. So this means that some player on the other faction will want to buy mini pets that they cannot buy for themselves and have to depend on other players on the other faction through the neutral auction house. Now I know you don’t really want to be helping the other faction… but don’t worry a mini-pet really can’t hurt you and besides the extra gold that you get will help you get stronger, you never know it might actually lead to a new enchantment that will take out the player that bought the mini pet from you!
Buying from the Neutral Auction House
With the same idea as above, you can buy mini pets from players from the other faction and sell them on your own faction’s auction house. Most people forget about the neutral auction house and you can make a decent amount of gold by exploiting this. Just make sure you know what the prices of mini pets are before you go on a buying rampage. I always like to keep an alt near a neutral auction house, the easiest one you can probably access is the one in Booty Bay, although for the Alliance it takes a bit of travelling and you might have to be in your 30s to do the trek.
